Peter Bodenham was born in Manchester on April 02, 1951. Beginning his musical career as a alter boy in his local choir, he eventually became chorus master at Salford Cathedral. Studying at the RNCM, Peter graduated and landed a job in the chorus at Scottish Opera, where he met his wife, Marie. In 1981 they moved to Leeds for Peter's new position in the Opera North chorus. In 1989 Peter and Marie had their son David. Peter has been described as a remarkable colleague and musician and played a huge variety of roles over his 54 years in music, all with great enthusiasm and gusto. He'll be most remembered for his uproarious sense of humour and kind heart and he will be fiercely missed.
